Originally built by the Chesil factory in 1990, the car is finished to an exceptional standard, so much so that most admirers assume that it is the real thing. The silver coachwork is original, as is the stunning full red leather interior. She sits on 15" chrome rims with new matching tyres and new period chrome hubcaps.

The real jewel in the crown however is the power plant.The engine is a brand new, £5k, 2.1 ltr stroker unit, supplied by The VW Speed Shop. Fitted in Oct 08,it has covered less than 100 miles, and is fitted with brand new twin Webber 40 idf carbs, rotary fuel pump, remote oil cooler, alternator conversion, Petronix ignition and full stainless 4 into 1. When ran in, it will be breathtaking.

Please do not confuse this car with the average replica. Being factory built, details like the mohair hood and wind up glass windows really set it apart. Even the chassis is like new, and it sailed through its new MOT this week. Being registered in 1970 (as a VW Chesil Speedster) is is of course road tax free.
