built to original 1960’s specification by DB 427 / Dave Brookes

Chassis 008.

One owner from new and only 2100 Miles.

Beautiful brushed aluminium SC Cobra body with riveted bonnet scoop, Stainless steel lifter jacks, Correct clear front indicators and lights, Brushed aluminium bullet mirrors, Wind deflectors and sun visors, Correct three leg roll bar, Polished aluminium Aston lemans fuel filler inset into the rear wing, Lucas L542 rear lights .

Black interior with correct Smiths mechanical instruments and backwards speedometer, Correct classic switches, Wood rim steering wheel, Correct gear lever, Chrome hand brake, Harness seat belts, AC pedals .

Body: Bare brushed 1.5mm aluminium (3003 grade), hand formed over bucks using traditional tools and an english wheel

Chassis: Cold drawn seamless (cds) tube (3.04mm wall thickness), jig assembled to original factory dimensions. Integral rear roll cage. Double shear suspension pick up points.

Suspension: Independent double wishbone (fully adjustable front & rear) “a” arms: Tubular seamless steel construction to original drawings with bronze bushes, spherical & rod end bearings. Powder coated.

Wheels: 15″ one piece aluminium FIA replica peg drive knock – on with Shelby spinners. 

Tyres: Avon 

Exhaust system: Tubular headers and original pattern side pipes.

Engine: 

Supplied by Southern Automotive , Ford FE series big block stroked to 445ci (7.4l), built on a seasoned block with all new internals, stroker crank and all new ancillaries, Edelbrock performance aluminium cylinder heads & intake manifold. Holley 4 barrel carburettor. Horsepower and torque estimated  500/500.  (Full spec sheets on request)

Chrome air filter, Turkey pan, Chrome rocker covers, Braided lines, Remote oil filter and front oil cooler.

5 speed manual Tremec gear box.

Wet weather Tonneau cover in mohair.

This superb Cobra 427 SC is as good as it gets.
